Terms of use

In short: LoreBud is a free personal diary. What you write is yours. Use it lawfully, keep your account safe, and keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Gabriel Bertollo, the independent developer based in Brazil who runs LoreBud ("we"). By creating an account or using LoreBud, you agree to them and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use LoreBud.

2. The service

LoreBud is a personal diary available at lorebud.com and as an app for Android. It lets you write daily entries, add highlights and tags, follow a streak and revisit past days. LoreBud is currently free. If paid features are ever added, you will be told clearly before anything is charged.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
• Give a real email address, so you can recover your account.
• Keep your password, PIN and devices safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account.

4. Your content

Everything you write in LoreBud belongs to you. You give us only the permission needed to store your content and show it back to you on your devices. We do not publish it, sell it or use it for advertising.

You are responsible for what you write and store, and for having the right to store it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use LoreBud for anything illegal;
• try to access another person's account or data;
• interfere with, overload or attempt to break the service or its security;
• copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

6. Availability and changes

LoreBud is run by one person and is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and your diary safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available, free of errors or never lose data. Please keep your own copy of anything especially important.

Features may be added, changed or removed. If LoreBud is ever discontinued, we will try to give advance notice so you can copy your content.

7. Ending your use

You can stop using LoreBud at any time and ask for your account to be deleted, as explained in the privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data or lost profits arising from the use of LoreBud, or from not being able to use it. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law gives you as a consumer and that cannot be waived.

9. Intellectual property

The LoreBud name, logo, design and software belong to us. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use the app, and nothing more.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you are a consumer, you may bring a dispute before the courts of the place where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes will be announced in the app or on this website. If you keep using LoreBud after a change, you accept the new terms.
